All Registered runners will receive a beautifully
designed t-shirt. Mugs will be presented
to the top 3 finishers in each age division. The
top male and female overall winner will receive
a plaque along with a special gift.

SWANTON -- Lisa Michelle Wade, 15, of 18461 Maryland Hwy, Swanton MD, died Wednesday, September 20, 2000 after being hit by a vehicle near her residence.
Born on April 22, 1985 at Cumberland, she was the daughter of Daniel Wade and Lois (Broadwater) Wade. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Kenneth Wade. Also a very special friend, Eddie Rogers, earlier this year.
Lisa was a sophomore at Westmar High School, where she was a member of the Girls Varsity Soccer team and the Cross Country team. She was also involved in the George’s Creek Soccer Club. She graduated from eighth grade at Bloomington School where she served as Student Council President. The family are members of the Bloomington Charge United Methodist Church.

Course
The race will begin on Rt. 36 approximately
100 yards from the Westernport American Legion
and Creekside Park. The course will continue
across the iron bridge from Waverly Street
over to Main Street and through the town of
Westernport. From Westernport the race will
proceed along Rt.36 north to Franklin. At
Franklin the course follows old Rt. 36 south,
back to Westernport and Creekside Park.

Corey's Course
Beginning this year, we are offering "Corey's Course", a handicap-friendly 15 minute timed course. This option is for walkers with physical limitations, or others who do not want to commit to a single 1 1/2 mile lap, "Corey's Course" is being implemented to honor the memory of Lisa's cousin, Corey Broadwater, who joined her in heaven March 12, 2008, after an almost 22 year struggle with cerebral palsy and its complications. Corey lived in the Fort Ashby WV area. Plans are to offer an annual "Corey M. Broadwater Special Achievement Award" to a senior in the Mineral County school system who demonstrates a drive to succeed, despite a physical or mental challenge.
